CHINT · Electronic moulded case circuit breaker
Product overview
CHINT NXMS electronic MCCBs protect low-voltage distribution circuits against overload and short circuit. The series covers 160-1600 A frames with rated-current options from 32 A. Select frame/breaking class, poles, configuration code and rated current. Operating mechanism, installation package and accessory voltage are confirmed separately with your enquiry.
Technical selection summary
| Series | NXMS electronic moulded case circuit breakers |
|---|---|
| Frame sizes | 160 / 250 / 400 / 630 / 1000 / 1250 / 1600 A |
| Rated current selection | 160 frame: 32, 63, 100, 125, 160 A; 250 frame: 200, 250 A; 400 frame: 300, 315, 320, 400 A; 630 frame: 500, 630 A; 1000 frame: 630, 800, 1000 A; 1250 / 1600 frames: 1250 / 1600 A. The selectors show documented base combinations; the complete ordering suffix and accessory voltage require confirmation. |
| Poles | 3P or 4P; exact configuration and neutral-pole arrangement follow the complete order code. |
| Release | Electronic overload long-time, short-circuit short-time and instantaneous protection; settings depend on the release and rating. |
| Breaking capacity at AC 400/415 V | S: Icu 50 kA / Ics 36 kA. H: 160/250 frames Icu 50 kA / Ics 36 kA; 400-1600 frames Icu 70 kA / Ics 50 kA. R: 160/250 frames Icu 70 kA / Ics 50 kA. These ratings do not apply automatically at other voltages. |
| Operational voltage | 50/60 Hz AC systems. Use the exact frame/class voltage table for 230/240, 400/415, 500 or 690 V; not every class is rated at every voltage. |
| Operation and installation | Direct handle; P motor operation; Z rotary handle. Confirm fixed or plug-in installation and the required operating mechanism with your enquiry; these are not selected on this page. |
| Accessory configuration | Configuration is the complete pole/release/accessory code. Accessory supply voltage belongs to the fitted electrical accessory or motor operator, not the main circuit. It is confirmed separately and is not selected on this page. For example: 3310 is a shunt release; 3340 is a shunt release plus auxiliary contact; 3330 is an undervoltage release; 3370 is an undervoltage release plus auxiliary contact. P identifies motor operation. |
| Communication option | COMA denotes a configuration supplied with the communication module. Availability is configuration-dependent and must be confirmed separately with your enquiry. |
| Insulation voltage | NXMS-250 Ui requires confirmation: 800 V and 1000 V differ between official catalogues. Confirm the supplied unit and market specification. |
| Standard | IEC/EN 60947-2; the Chinese-market catalogue also states GB/T 14048.2. |
| Dimensions | Refer to the frame-specific installation drawings below and the complete PDF. The main photograph shows NXMS-630S/3300 as a representative product. Installation drawings apply only to the exact model labels printed on each figure; do not extend H-frame dimensions to an R-frame without verification. |
| Undervoltage release (UVT) | The manufacturer UVT table lists AC220/230/240V (A1) and AC380/400/415V (A2). Specify AC230V or AC400V as applicable when requesting a quotation. DC24V is not listed for the UVT and is not offered with undervoltage configuration codes. |
| Shunt release and motor supply | Shunt-release catalogue options include AC220-240V, AC380-415V, DC24V, DC110V and DC220V. Confirm the accessory supply separately when requesting a quotation. For motor operation, use the supply stated in the complete ordering record; do not apply a release voltage to the motor operator automatically. |
| Configuration code guide | 00: no internal accessory; 08: alarm contact; 10: shunt release; 18: shunt + alarm; 20: auxiliary; 28: auxiliary + alarm; 30: undervoltage; 38: undervoltage + alarm; 40: shunt + auxiliary; 48: shunt + auxiliary + alarm; 50: shunt + undervoltage; 60: two auxiliary groups; 68: two auxiliary groups + alarm; 70: undervoltage + auxiliary; 78: undervoltage + auxiliary + alarm. The first digit gives poles; the second 3 denotes the electronic release. C and K suffixes remain part of the exact order code; K denotes a wide-protection release. |
The four selectors identify documented base configurations. For NXMS-400S/H, internal accessory compatibility follows the manufacturer frame/pole table across its 300A, 315A, 320A and 400A ratings; the absence of an assembled model from a stock list does not imply that the accessory is incompatible. Supply voltage and assembled availability are confirmed with the quotation. The model hint is a base reference, not a complete confirmed order code. Operating mechanism, connection/package and accessory voltage are confirmed separately; no defaults are inferred from the omitted options. H, S, R and F designations must not be treated as interchangeable. This page offers the H/S/R combinations shown in the selectors. Insulation voltage for NXMS-250 remains subject to confirmation. Specify the operating voltage and required Icu/Ics with your enquiry. Motor-protection release characteristics apply only to their documented current range; do not apply them to a distribution release.
Typical applications
- Low-voltage distribution panels and feeder protection
- Industrial electrical equipment and building distribution
- Motor-circuit protection when the exact motor-protection release is specified
