Product overview
NewTrend RB8-01 switches lighting according to ambient light measured by a matching external sensor. The illumination threshold is adjustable from 1 to 100lx, with ON, AUTO and OFF positions. A fixed two-minute switching delay reduces response to brief light changes. The 18mm DIN-rail relay uses AC 110-240V and provides a 16A AC-1 switched-line output.

Operation
- Connect the matching sensor to the IN terminals and the AC supply to L-N, following the original wiring diagram.
- Select AUTO for light-dependent switching and set the 1-100lx threshold. ON and OFF provide the corresponding manual output states.
- The original function diagram shows a fixed two-minute switching delay. The green Un LED indicates supply and the red R LED indicates output state.
- The LS-01 sensor style uses a 9.6mm panel hole; the LS-02 style uses a 12mm panel hole. Both original sensor drawings show a 200mm lead.

Use the matching R-type sensor listed for RB8-01. The relay supply is L-N and the switched-line output is L-4; follow the original wiring diagram rather than treating the output as an isolated dry contact. Use the N-3 control connection only as shown in the exact-model function and wiring diagrams. Confirm the required sensor style and supplied accessories with the order. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
