NewTrend · intermediate control relay
Product overview
NewTrend R8-116 is a DIN-rail intermediate relay for switching control-circuit loads and multiplying available contacts. It provides 1 spdt rated 16A AC-1, with a maximum changeover time of 40ms and red LED output indication. Separate AC/DC 12V, 24V, 48V and 110V versions are available. The 230V version uses A1-A2 for AC 230V or A1-A3 for AC/DC 24V, as shown in its dedicated wiring diagram. The 18mm DIN-rail body supports compact panel installation.

Operation
- Apply the selected nominal supply to the exact terminals shown for that voltage version. The supply choices are separate versions, not a continuous adjustable-voltage range.
- The red LED indicates output state. The changeover contacts switch the connected control circuits when the relay is operated.
- For the 230V dual-input version, follow the separate A1-A2 / A1-A3 wiring diagram. It differs from the two-terminal AC/DC versions.
Typical applications
- Contact multiplication in automation and control panels
- Switching control-circuit loads within the stated AC-1 contact rating
- Interface and auxiliary switching in compact DIN-rail installations

Original wiring for every model and voltage version, with dimensions
The product photographs show the AC/DC 12V version; printed voltage markings are retained. Select the supply version before wiring. The 230V version has a separate A3 terminal: use A1-A2 for AC 230V or A1-A3 for AC/DC 24V according to the original diagram. Do not combine the two supply inputs. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
