NewTrend · memory and latching relay
Product overview
NewTrend RM8-01 provides pushbutton-controlled memory and latching operation for lighting and control circuits. Parallel momentary pushbuttons allow control from several locations using the A1-S control input. It provides one SPDT output. Choose the AC/DC 12-240V W240 version or AC 230V A230 version. The 18mm DIN-rail relay has 16A AC-1 contacts and LED status indication.

Operation
- Use momentary pushbuttons connected as shown between the supply/control points A1 and S. Multiple pushbuttons may be wired in parallel.
- Apply a control pulse of at least 25ms. The original function diagram shows the latched output response and supply-interruption behavior.
- The green LED indicates supply and the red LED indicates output state. The AC 230V version supports glow-lamp pushbuttons within the stated total allowance.
Typical applications
- Lighting control from several pushbutton locations
- Staircase, corridor and room lighting control circuits
- Control panels requiring impulse-operated latching contacts

Choose the control-supply version before connecting power. The product photograph illustrates the AC/DC 12-240V version; A230 and W240 have different power-input data. The 75 glow-lamp allowance applies only to the AC 230V version at the stated 0.68mA per lamp. Follow the exact-model contact and pulse-sequence diagrams. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
