NewTrend · color-display voltage/current/leakage protector
Product overview
NewTrend PS8-09 combines adjustable overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and leakage-current settings with automatic recovery and a configurable leakage-reclosing count. Its color display shows voltage, current, leakage current, frequency, power factor, power and accumulated energy. This is the local-control version. Select a 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A or 80A AC-1 rating and the factory upper- or lower-incoming wiring version for an AC 220V line-to-neutral circuit. The DIN-rail enclosure is 54mm wide.

Operation
- Select the rated-current version and U (upper incoming) or D (lower incoming) wiring. Connect the AC 220V supply and neutral according to the exact diagram.
- Set overvoltage to OFF or 230-300V, undervoltage to 140-210V or OFF, and voltage-fault delay within 0.1-10s.
- Set overcurrent from 1A up to the selected rated current and its delay within 2-600s. Power-up delay is 2-600s and reset delay is 2-900s.
- Leakage-current setting is OFF or 10-400mA. Leakage reclosing can be disabled, limited to 1-20 attempts, or set to ON as described in the original catalogue. After the configured attempt limit is exceeded, the unit remains open with fault indication until manual reset.
- The original leakage timing diagram illustrates a three-attempt setting and a response marked t≤0.2s; use the configured mode and the exact installation protection arrangement.
Typical applications
- Household-equipment circuits requiring configurable abnormal-voltage and current monitoring
- DIN-rail distribution panels with leakage-current setting and controlled reconnection requirements

Original leakage/reclosing timing, separate companion breaker, wiring and dimensions
Follow the selected U or D incoming-line wiring and set the overcurrent threshold within the ordered current rating. Confirm the leakage threshold, reclosing mode and permitted reset behavior for the installation. The RD9L-R residual-current breaker and circuit breakers in the original application diagram are separate companion devices; their ratings and standards are not specifications or certification claims for PS8-09. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
