Product overview
NewTrend RI8-02 monitors AC current in heating circuits, heating cables and single-phase motor circuits in undercurrent mode. Select one of six measuring-range versions from 0.05-0.5A to 1.6-16A and set the threshold with the front potentiometer. Adjustable 0.1-10 second power-up and tripping delays help coordinate monitoring with circuit startup and short current peaks. The 18mm DIN-rail relay uses AC/DC 24-240V and provides one SPDT output rated 10A AC-1.

Operation
- RI8-02: Undercurrent. Set Imin using the original panel and timing diagrams.
- A1-A2 supplies the relay; B1-B2 is the measuring input. Follow the original direct-measurement or current-transformer wiring diagram.
- Set Tt for tripping delay and Tr for power-up delay, each from 0.1 to 10 seconds. The measuring range is a product version; it is not changed by a six-position range selector.

Follow the original exact-model timing diagram, especially the RI8-03 function positions and RI8-04 independent window thresholds. Photos show particular range versions; the selected range determines the supplied unit. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
