UL 1077 supplementary protection requires a separate upstream branch-circuit protective device. It does not replace a UL 489 branch-circuit breaker. B/C/D trip codes cover 1–63A; P identifies the 80/100/125A version with the separately tabulated 8–12In instantaneous band. These selectors cover the tabulated 1P/2P/3P codes; other pole versions require separate documentation. The original catalogue contains differing notes on high-current accessories, so do not assume accessory interchangeability.
Typical applications
- Supplementary overcurrent protection within electrical equipment behind required branch-circuit protection.
- Control and OEM circuits selected for the exact UL 1077 supplementary-protector configuration.
