NewTrend · SiC active harmonic filter
Product overview
NewTrend Y-AHF-SiC uses silicon-carbide power devices for three-phase harmonic-current compensation. Rated compensation current is 100A or 150A on a 220VAC or 380VAC grid. It supports 2nd–50th order harmonic compensation, three-phase unbalance correction and neutral-line filtering on applicable installations. Switching frequency is 30kHz; catalogue overall efficiency is at least 97%, with peak efficiency at least 98.5%.

Operation
- The AHF connects in parallel with the load and injects compensating current opposite to the detected harmonic current. The rating is compensation current, not feeder load current.
- Select harmonic compensation or harmonic compensation with three-phase unbalance correction. Neutral-line filtering applies to installations with a neutral conductor.
- Individual harmonic compensation settings cover the 2nd through 50th orders. Final system THDi depends on load, current sensing and installation.
Typical applications
- Industrial feeders with drives, rectifiers and other nonlinear loads
- Commercial buildings, data centres and UPS/IT-load distribution
- Neutral-connected three-phase installations requiring harmonic and load-unbalance compensation

Main and gallery photographs show the exact SiC wall-mounted and rack-mounted family enclosures from the original catalogue, with their original warning labels. The 1200A cabinet figure in the family catalogue is a multi-module system capacity, not this single-module rating. Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified electricians.
